After almost 9 adventurous years with Wharton Entrepreneurship our colleague Megan Mitchell is leaving Wharton to continue on her entrepreneurial career path as Business Director at Digital Catalyst. Over the years Megan has been one of the bedrocks at Wharton Entrepreneurship with her unwavering support for our students and alumni and her creative and passionate approach to developing and implementing strong entrepreneurial educational programs.
During her tenure, the Wharton Business Plan Competition grew dramatically – she was responsible for the BPC from 2004-2013. That adds up to over 1000 student ventures she touched! Megan was the force behind the creation of the entrepreneurial internship program in 2006 that has grown into a dynamic program integrated with Wharton MBA Career Management and Penn Career Services supporting students across Penn’s campus. Her dedicated support for the entrepreneurial co-curricular programming at Wharton|San Francisco continues to pay off as our programming is growing and thriving on the west coast.
Finally Megan has been the ultimate networker – among students, alumni, faculty, and with whomever else she met and knew would help our students. One thing we will greatly miss is her connections to these students and alumni. We wish Megan all the best and know that our paths will continue to be interwoven.
