elevator pitch: Blaise. Intuitive, ergonomic, next generation medical infusion system. A converged platform and delivery module to deliver and monitor intravenous delivery of fluids.
Where did the idea for your venture come from?
In a casual conversation with an oncologist at a SEAS event, he lamented the issues with infusion devices and a pressing need for innovation.
How will your venture change the world?
9 out of 10 nurses use infusion systems every day. 90% of fluids and drugs delivered in a clinical setting are delivered through infusion devices. We focused on the day-to-day of nurses and patients and designed a system that streamlines the infusion delivery process, reduces stress for nurses and patients, minimizes fatal errors and cuts down upfront costs to buyers.
- Before a career in engineering, Aman was a state level squash champion in India. He has still kept up with the sport and plays in his free time.
- Laura was a national level gymnast for 9 years in Italy before design school. Since she moved to the US she turned her love for acrobatics into rock climbing and hiked the grand canyon twice.
