Sponsor the Startup Challenge
The Startup Challenge fosters the entrepreneurial spirit and business literacy of University of Pennsylvania students, helping to promote the creation of new ventures.
The Startup Challenge culminates in the Startup Challenge Finals, Venture Lab’s flagship event, which brings together successful entrepreneurial alumni with Penn student entrepreneurs, to showcase the best ventures from across Penn’s campus.
The Startup Challenge is version 2.0 of the Wharton Business Plan Competition. The WBPC was started in 1998 and was managed by Penn Wharton Entrepreneurship for 18 years, through the 2015-2016 academic year, before its evolution into the Startup Challenge.
There are four sponsorship levels – Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Friend of the Startup Challenge – currently available for companies and individuals interested in sponsoring the annual Startup Challenge.
In addition to the visibility, branding, and exposure that your company receives as a sponsor of one of the premier university startup competitions in the world, your organization will be uniquely positioned to gain value in a variety of ways.
- Showcase your company as an innovative leader not only to University of Pennsylvania students, but also to the entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, Wharton and Penn alumni and faculty involved throughout the year.
- Set your company apart from all the others recruiting on campus by aligning with one of the most visible programs on campus – annually drawing participation of more than 400 students, representing nearly every school at the University.
- Customize your company’s involvement in judging and mentoring in order to leverage fully the value of sponsorship.
- Enjoy interaction and networking with entrepreneurial-minded students.
