This course focuses on theoretical and practical issues of acquiring a business. You will hone your knowledge of the acquisition process, identify and evaluate acquisitions targets, as well as understand the deal in terms of legal and tax implications.
FNCE 750 Venture Capital and the Finance of Innovation
Venture capital professionals need to know how to raise capital and structure their funds, as well as how to select, fund, and exit high-growth privately-held companies. This course addresses all of these subjects.
FNCE 751 Finance of Buyouts and Acquisitions
The focus of this course is on buying (or acquiring controlling stakes in) firms. The main topics to be covered are mergers and friendly acquisitions, hostile takeovers and buyouts.
